Advocacy on Peace and Security

ACSGRE’s vision for sustainable peace and security in Africa means that peace initiatives and processes constitute a key element of its programmatic activities. Therefore, the organization deliberately and meaningfully participates in and supports peace initiatives and processes in the Horn of Africa sub-region.

ACSGRE continues to support the development of policies aimed at enhancing Kenya’s legal, policy, and institutional framework for Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and Child Protection and related issues. In Kenya, ACSGRE has had significant input in developing the National Peace-building Policy and the Kenya National Action Plan for the Control and Management of illicit small arms and light weapons.
